Don’t miss Bryan Tari, solo piano, performing Star Wars and Superman medleys on Sunday, August 12 at 3 PM. Join Bryan Tari for an afternoon concert of classical piano showpieces, original compositions, jazz standards and his own stunning arrangements of John Williams’ Star Wars and Superman soundtracks.  This concert is a joint fundraising effort between the Boy Scouts of America, Los Padres Council and Santa Barbara Music Events to benefit the reconstruction of Rancho Alegre which was destroyed in the recent fires near Lake Cachuma.



DANCEworks 10th Anniversary Celebration presents doug elkins choreography, etc. and a special retrospective performance featuring choreographers: Aszure Barton, Brian Brooks, Larry Keigwin, Mark Dendy, Adam Barruch, Shannon Gillen, Kate Weare and Doug Varone on September 7 & 8. Choreographer Doug Elkins is regarded as the first choreographer to successfully blend together street dance, ballet and modern dance and has been hailed by The New York Times as, “one of the most musical, witty and inventive choreographers of his generation.” He tops off a monthlong residency at the Lobero with a world premiere alongside performances by DANCEworks’ choreographer alum including Aszure Barton, Brian Brooks, Larry Keigwin, Mark Dendy, Adam Barruch, Shannon Gillen, Kate Weare and Doug Varone to celebrate 10 years of making bold steps.

Numbskull & New Noise presents Future Islands on Saturday, September 15. The years since the release of Singles have been transformative for Future Islands, catapulting the Baltimore-based band from cult favorites to synthpop icons. As addictive songs like breakout “Seasons (Waiting on You)” turned the world on to sublime pleasures a loyal fan base already knew, this hard-touring band plowed forward celebrating their tenth anniversary in February 2016. Now Future Islands returns at the top of their game with new album The Far Field, delivering twelve chest pounding love songs and odes to the road as only they can.

Join the Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation for an evening with the critically acclaimed cast and director of Storm Reading and special guest, Anthony Edwards. This internationally acclaimed theatrical event began in Santa Barbara and gained worldwide recognition for its thought-provoking, humorous and frank representation of the challenges faced by those with disabilities when in the public eye.

Lobero LIVE presents Marc Broussard and The Dales on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 8 PM. Ever since belting out “Johnny B. Goode” onstage at age 5 while sitting in with his father’s band, Broussard has been tapped as a talent to watch. Acclaimed blues and soul singer Marc Broussard regularly performs at New Orleans Jazz Fest and has toured with Zac Brown, Bonnie Raitt, Dave Matthews Band, Chris Isaak, Willie Nelson, Maroon 5, and Gavin DeGraw among others.

Join Girls Rock Santa Barbara for, Raise Her Voice, a fun evening in support of Girls Rock Santa Barbara featuring live music from L.A. based songwriter Sophie Rose, silent auction, live screen printing and more on Sunday, September 30 at 7:30 PM. Girls Rock Santa Barbara is an after-school program, accredited summer day camp, and accredited summer sleep-away camp that empowers girls and women through music education, creative expression, and performance. Girls Rock Santa Barbara promotes self-confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
