THE YOUNG ARTIST JAZZ SERIES

Hi LA friends-
I am celebrating 22 years producing the Young Artist Jazz Series. So many of our great jazz musicians did their first performance for the series! The LACHSA performs for the series every year and always brings amazing young talented musicians, including their award winning Vocal Jazz Ensemble, led by Pat Bass. I hope to see you Tuesday night! Please make reservations if you plan to attend. Your support means the world to these young performers (and to me!).
Thanks!
Barbara

Many thanks to those who support the series

The Young Artist Jazz Series, produced by Barbara Brighton, began in spring of 1996 with the goal of providing a forum for local young jazz artists to showcase their talents in front of a live audience, while giving the  community the opportunity to support and enjoy these musicians. The performers are selected mostly from recommendations made by teachers or musicians in mentoring positions. Many current jazz stars performed for the series when they were starting out. Some of these artists include Zane Musa, Anthony Wilson, Gerald Clayton, Gretchen Parlato, Donald Vega, Dan Lutz, Sara Gazarek, Josh Nelson, Dave Robaire and numerous others.
