Don’t miss Bryan Tari, solo piano, performing Star Wars and Superman medleys on Sunday, August 12 at 3 PM. Join Bryan Tari for an afternoon concert of classical piano showpieces, original compositions, jazz standards and his own stunning arrangements of John Williams’ Star Wars and Superman soundtracks.  This concert is a joint fundraising effort between the Boy Scouts of America, Los Padres Council and Santa Barbara Music Events to benefit the reconstruction of Rancho Alegre which was destroyed in the recent fires near Lake Cachuma. https://www.lobero.org/events/bryan-tari-2018/

DANCEworks 10th Anniversary Celebration presents doug elkins choreography, etc. and a special retrospective performance featuring choreographers: Aszure Barton, Brian Brooks, Larry Keigwin, Mark Dendy, Adam Barruch, Shannon Gillen, Kate Weare and Doug Varone on September 7 & 8. Choreographer Doug Elkins is regarded as the first choreographer to successfully blend together street dance, ballet and modern dance and has been hailed by The New York Times as, “one of the most musical, witty and inventive choreographers of his generation.” He tops off a monthlong residency at the Lobero with a world premiere alongside performances by DANCEworks’ choreographer alum including Aszure Barton, Brian Brooks, Larry Keigwin, Mark Dendy, Adam Barruch, Shannon Gillen, Kate Weare and Doug Varone to celebrate 10 years of making bold steps. https://www.lobero.org/events/danceworks-2018/

Numbskull & New Noise presents Future Islands on Saturday, September 15.
